Louise Guy

President

Louise is a registered nurse with extensive experience in healthcare delivery systems who is focused on clinical care, clinical and capital sales, third-party reimbursement methods, operations, and strategic business planning. As Argenta’s principal, she oversees its strategic reimbursement consulting, market access consulting, and reimbursement support hotline teams. Louise’s broad experience in the board room, operating room, and emergency room has given her a unique ability to see and understand the complicated issues affecting a medical technology’s commercial adoption and to connect executives with the right team for tackling those issues. Her work at Argenta focuses on relentless advocacy for patient access to novel medical technologies and on troubleshooting complex reimbursement issues related to coding, coverage, and payments.

Prior to joining Argenta, Louise spent six years in the biotechnology industry, where she successfully secured reimbursement for both FDA and non-FDA approved products. She interfaced directly with senior officials at the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS), as well as with corporate medical directors of health plans across the country.

Louise also brings ten years of experience as the manager of medical review and utilization management at BlueCross BlueShield of Massachusetts (BCBS MA). During her tenure at BCBS MA, Louise was responsible for medical operations across all product lines.

Other industry experience includes field support and management at Genzyme Tissue Repair, NeoPath (Now TriPath), Inamed, and Visible Genetics.

Louise received her nursing education and training at Rhode Island Hospital and the Community College of Rhode Island. She maintains a Massachusetts RN license.
